We studied Psalm 138 last week, and the takeaway lesson is very simply stated: we pray to glorify God. So remember to pray for one another. (See the prayer requests, thanks Niki!)
Bible study is at my place this week. Sterling and Tim will provide food.

Bible Study 10/27
What did Harvard, Jason, Tak, and I learn from Psalm 142 last week?
When we're in our caves, feeling helpless and abandoned, we should come before God in prayer. We shall pray with sincere intensity, with specificity, and directly to God. Depend on Him and remember to praise Him knowing that He will not abandon us, but will deliver us from our pain.
What did Harvard, Jason, Tak, and I eat last week?
Lots of krispy fried chicken.
What did Harvard, Jason, Tak, and I do after Bible study?
Settlers. Harvard won.
Bible study is at my place this week. Jason and Niki will provide dinner.

Bible Study 10/20
Hope you all had a safe and relaxing weekend.
Quick recap from last week's study (Psalm 13): The Psalmist, David, sings a Psalm of Lament. He expresses his helpless state and feels abandoned by God. Yet he seeks enlightenment, through prayer, to understand God's will. He ends with remembrance and praises of God's lovingkindness.
Bible study will be at my place this week as we will continue on with Psalm. Harvard and Niki will provide dinner.

Bible Study 10/13
We didn't have Bible study last week, but we did have a lot of short ribs, bbq chicken, and other L&L goodies at Stone Manor. It was good...thanks for hooking us up Jerm! It was a good time of fellowship as we saw some people from the Fremont and SJ small groups. And Harvard rocked me in heads-up no-limit as I'm still seeking my first victory.
Bible study will be at my place this week as we will continue on with Psalm. Tak and Justin will provide dinner.

Bible Study 10/6
Missed you guys last week, but looks like you guys had a good study and had lots of pizza (see Tak's post below). We'll be continuing on with the Psalter this week. Some of us may think that the Psalms are pretty difficult. I know that I feel that way sometimes and same with other people I've talked to. But don't fret or be discouraged because these are also God's words just like Hebrews, Philippians, etc., and we'll get through these like all our previous studies.
This week's Bible study will be at my place. Justin and Tak will provide dinner.
